The first blog
Welcome to this new item on the website.My blog is a chance for you to get my 'take' on recent events,not just at The Jamie Forrester Soccer Academy, but also latest news at my playing career at Notts County and views on the latest football news in general.
Well, this first blog coincides with the fact that The Jamie Forrester Soccer Academy has now been running for 1 year.A big thank you goes to all parents/carers and children who have all enjoyed training with us.Since starting we have slowly expanded and are proud of the fact that so many children continue to train with us.
From June 2008 my playing career has seen me plying my trade at Notts County FC.It was a difficult decision to make at the time.Lincoln City had been a fantastic club to play for during the past 2 seasons but with all things considered I did feel that it was in the best interests of my long term future that I sign for Notts County.Our season has been positive so far.In the 9 league matches played to date we have lost 1,drawn 6 and won 2.Our most recent win was a 2-1 victory over Port Vale and confidence is pretty good at present.
Because of the fact that I remain living in Lincoln this means that I make the daily commute over to Nottingham.Luckily for me I travel over with 2 ex-imps, Paul Mayo and Richard Butcher.Although the driving is shared all I have heard up to now is about when they played at the Millenium Stadium with Lincoln City in the play-off final against Bournemouth.I fact I think Richard butcher still wears his 'Millenium suit' on nights out!!
